2020.11.28 07:24 KingTyson27 [BB] The Castle 1

After a successful franchise in King's Survivor, it's time for a new era to begin. This time, 15 strangers will move into a house (dubbed "The Castle") and will compete in a brand new game. Every week, someone will win the head of household competition, and will nominate two houseguests to be voted out. Then, they will compete in another competition called the power of veto, which allows someone to remove someone else (or themselves) off the block, and the HoH will have to name a replacement nomination. Then, one of the nominees will be voted out by the house. Here is the cast for this inaugural season:
Adriel Guajardo, 23, Broadcasting Major, u/Wow_its_a_Korkscrew
Adriel was born in Panama, but his family immigrated to America back when he was a child. He grew up in a city in Texas, where he became involved in the local political scene as a teenager. He's now attending college at the University of Texas, where he hopes to become a broadcaster and bring more attention to the political hotbed of Texas. He has a charming personality, and is seemingly quite the romantic, but he'll cut your throat without you even realizing it.
Albert "Albatross" DeNiero, 42, Birdwatcher, u/Macro-The-Singer
Albert started birdwatching after college. His friends gave him the nickname "Albatross" because that's the first bird he saw. He takes pictures of birds and uploads them on social media, where he currently has over a million followers. He joined Big Brother on order to have fun, but he is prepared to use strategy to win.
Alice Rosaria, 26, Dancer, u/Gemini_B
Alice dropped out of school at a young age because of intense bullying over her race, needing to work to help her family, and a school that was really bad education wise. When she saved up enough money, she moved to Vegas and quickly with her natural charm and beauty got a good job. She’s been gold-digging in Vegas for a while, but hasn’t felt fulfilled. She doesn’t feel like she’s doing anything worthwhile with her life, and like maybe she doesn’t matter. When she saw survivor, she knew it was the perfect show for her. She hopes to flirt, manipulate and win, proving to everyone... and herself that she can win and is worthwhile.
Apollo "Sunny" Winston, 24, Stand Up Comedian, u/JTsidol
Growing up Poor, He always had to make the best of things, he always to see people laugh, then he slowly began doing jobs, and he was discovered recently, now he’s slowly getting more recognized, however, a dream of his had been to play and win Survivor, and know, knowing his family is secure, he‘s trying to achieve it.
Blair Davis, 36, Air Force Officer, u/Gemini_B
Blair had an interesting childhood. Her mother was native American but died when she was only two, leaving her in the care of her father. She suffered minor bullying when she was in elementary school starting at grade 4. She was mocked for being quiet and not having a mother. It got so bad that she switched schools going into grade 6. She continued her education and was always studious. When she graduated high school, she decided to join the air force. She was a quick learner and became one of the best pilots in her force, quickly earning her the title of Officer. She was rarely on the front lines during her time and spent most of her time providing supplies for soldiers, but that didn’t stop her from learning about the atrocities of war. She had a yearlong relationship with a fellow pilot named Julie, but her romantic interest unfortunately died a little after a year of them meeting. That death really shook her to her core, and from then on, she tried to keep herself from growing close to anyone in the military with her, for risk of losing them. She finished her military service less than a year ago and currently works in a gardening center. She still has nightmares about all the friends she’s lost. Her past trauma makes it still challenging for her to open up and bond with others. She’s going on survivor to prove both to the world and herself that your trauma doesn’t define who you are. She knows she’s physically strong, but she wants to prove that she’s both mentally, and socially capable too.
DeShawn "Shawn" Woods, 19, Cashier, u/asiansurvivorfan
As a kid, Shawn spent most of his time studying and in the library, so he struggled to make friends but was never bullied. When he graduated high school, he knew he had to come out of his shell more. So ever since, he always tries to connect to people and built strong relationships and in Big Brother these skills are very important so he hopes despite not being very athletic, he can use his social game to get him far.
Debra "Debby" Rahman, 22, Yoga Instructor, u/dramaking_22
Growing up, Debby grew up in a very strict catholic household. She isn’t a goodie two shoes per say, but she prays everyday and is very faithful. She believes that the yoga she does helps lead her closer and closer to divine happiness. Debby is very peaceful and compassionate, so this game isn’t the best fit for her. But she does want to win so that she can open up her own yoga place. She’ll be open to backstabbing, but if she does, she’ll be sure to pray for forgiveness later.
Jane Harrison, 31, Journalist, u/Enderplayer77
Jovan Gillespie, 29, Prosecutor, u/Wow_its_a_Korkscrew
Jovan is one of the rising prosecutors in the state of Tennessee, and for good reason. He uses his perceptiveness and cunning to back his opponents into a corner and bend them to his will. He's not great at making friends in competitive situations, as he tends to view them more as allies or tools. He is cold, calculated and extremely smart.
Marcelene "Marco" Ramirez, 26, Weather Reporter, u/Ripecornball60
When Marco was young, she was always attracted to the weather. Because of this she followed her dream job and became a weather girl! While she's sassy and on her bad days, very blunt, Marco has always thought of a way out of most situations thanks to her... Assets... Her boss and head anchorman Mercutio has an affair with Marco, which has led to a lot of close calls keeping your job wise. Fed up with being used as a tool, Marco has decided to join the cast of the Castle to put her skills to the test!
Newton O'Barr, 47, Rancher, u/asiansurvivorfan
Newton grew up on a ranch in a very conservative part of Kentucky, despite enjoying the country, Newton always had different views than the people he was surrounded with. At the age of 17 is when he realized he was gay but remained in the closet for a large amount of time due to growing up in Kentucky and also in a time where homosexuality wasn’t talked about or accepted at all. When his family eventually found out, many of them distanced themselves from him and he doesn’t remain in contact with many of them today. He is still not very open about it but doesn’t have a problem talking about it if asked . Due to remaining in the closet for so long, he never managed to find a partner and found himself quite lonely. He decided to eventually adopt and raise 4 children from all different walks of life. He now owns his own ranch where he spends most of his time at. He came on Survivor to break the mold of the “older” person role.
Nic Viaques, 35, Detective, u/swoldow
Nic grew up in San Francisco, in a high-crime neighborhood with a primarily latino population, and as a result has been serious about what he does from an early age, as he's known since birth pre-conceived notions of people can impact someone's decision making process in numerous ways. He grew up with many friends that are now in prison for crimes they didn't commit, and they were sent there all because people made inferences about their skin color, or previous actions they've done without relation to what they're being accused of. As a result, he tried to become a cop, but they didn't let him in due to drug problems as a teenager, so instead he became a private eye. He started busting crime around the city, and people took wind of his services fast, but things took a turn for the worse, when his older sister got kidnapped by a wanted gangster. Nic spent the better half of seven years hunting his sister down, and four months ago, he finally was able to dismantle the gangster's crime operation, saving his sister in the process, despite her being scarred over what the gangster did to her. Nic is playing The Castle as a way to fund his sister's rehab, and is willing to do anything to win. He is going to claim he is an author to hide his job, and put on a friendly face, so he can strike when the competition doesn't expect it.
Rick Hernandez, 36, Police Officer, u/SilverOwl24
Growing up as a first generation American, his parents entered the USA through immigrating from Mexico. It wasn't easy growing up, especially with his older brother getting involved with a bad crowd. When his brother got arrested and sent to prison, the brother encouraged Rick to not walk down the same path he had. Since then, Rick devoted himself to understanding the law and became a police officer. Not only making his brother and parents proud, but becoming an inspiration. Now, he has a family of his own and is ready to take on The Castle. He's planning on playing the fatherly role and wants to show his son how a hero plays.
Tania Mason, 27, Elevator Repair-Woman, u/dramaking_22
Tania’s occupation may seem like a far reach, but there’s a reason she chose that specifically. Besides her parents teaching her that you should work hard if you want the best in life, Tania had an incident in an elevator that she’ll never forget. During her college years, she went into an elevator, and the head cheerleader came in, who Tania always found attractive. Long story short... there was a lot of contact in that elevator that day. Since then, she has wanted to be an elevator repair woman for a long time. Since she’s naturally shy and introverted, it’s perfect for her to be alone. She also likes how it makes her look strong. But… even the strongest people are afraid of things. She’s still yet to come out, and she’s nervous about what people will think of her if they ever do find out. Maybe things can change on Survivor?
Wendy "Dr. Boomberg" Boomberg, 67, Nuclear Physician, u/swoldow
Dr. Boomberg has always had a brain built for scientific discovery, but has the personality of a mad scientist instead. She has a drive to make groundbreaking discoveries, but they are on the practical verge of insanity due to never really getting recognized for her work. As a middle schooler, she built a fully functional AI for a science fair, yet an anonymous student sabotaged her machine, taking the science fair prize from her. This miniscule competition may seem like nothing, but Dr. Boomberg isn't your ordinary woman. Constantly wanting to prove herself, she entered numerous other science fairs just to win, but her machines were always malfunctioning, or the judges were sexist. Just wanting to win at something, she inadvertently emptied her parents' wallets when she went to college on five multiple occasions, getting doctorates in Nuclear Science, Engineering, Physics, Geosystems, and Programming. Still, these accolades weren't enough, so she went to NASA and demanded a position working for them, however, instead of putting her as an aerospace engineer like she wanted, they put her as a secretary for the nuclear bomb technicians hard at work to prepare for the cold war. Enraged at her low job, she got close to the man she worked for while slowly sabotaging his chemical rack, leading to a major accident that blew up a power plant, his firing, and her taking his position. Now she has built hundreds of bombs, each with the capability to wipe out millions, and after getting her job ruined by the end of the cold war, she continued to work by secretly conversing with North Korean government officials. She wants to play The Castle only for the title of winner and nothing more.
Note: I did not realize before I simulated that there were some choices that had to be made by the person simulating the season, so I picked the random option to make it more fair.
Link to Season
Week 1: The host welcomes the 15 new contestants to the first season of The Castle. Each of them is briefly introduced, then the first HOH competition commences. The 15 houseguests don't know what to expect, when all of a sudden, a phone starts to ring. Albatross finds the phone first and answers it, and he ends up winning the first HOH competition. Jovan, seeing Albatross as easy to manipulate, tries to get him to put up two people he disliked in Nic and Blair, but all that does is make Albatross see Jovan as someone who could not be trusted. He talks to the people who Jovan wanted to target, and together they form a temporary alliance. At the nomination ceremony, Albatross puts Jovan up as a target and Jane up as a pawn, and Jovan was not pleased. He calls Albatross a snake in front of everyone, which certainly does not help his case. Debby, Rick, and Adriel are picked to play in the POV competition. Adriel wins it, and not trusting either of the two nominees, he keeps them both on the block. Jovan then tries personally talking to each of his housemates, telling them they're his number one ally and he needs them, which they soon found out was all a bunch of bull. He is able to form bonds with Tania, Sunny, Marco, Debby, and Dr. Boomberg, but unfortunately, none of them are able to swing anyone else, and Jovan becomes the first person voted out in a 7-5 vote.
Week 2: After seeing a close ally go home, Tania works very hard to win the next HOH, and she succeeds. She then starts to think which of the majority would be best to leave first. Her first thoughts were to get rid of Nic, since he has been very secretive about his career, and Blair, who was very good in challenges, and Tania didn't like that. Eventually, she decides to put Debby up as a pawn beside Nic, and those two are nominated. Adriel, Shawn, and Alice also compete in the POV, and Alice wins the POV. Not having close ties with either of the nominees, she keeps them the same. Rick, being a cop, suspects Nic of having a similar profession due to vibes Nic gave off. Because of this, he talks to Blair, Albatross, and Adriel about backstabbing Nic to better their positions in the game. On the other side of the house, Shawn tries to lead a coup to take out Debby, wanting to remove her from the equation due to him seeing her as a bigger social threat than Nic. Dr. Boomberg, Sunny, Marco, Jane, Alice, and Newton all see Shawn's plan as beneficial to their own game, so they help him out and vote out Debby 7-4.
Week 3: Shawn surprises everyone and wins the next HOH challenge, despite knowing that Tania would probably be coming after him. He tries to make peace with Tania, promising that he'll keep her off the block this week. He then thinks about putting Nic up, since he's proven himself to be untrustworthy, and Marco as a pawn, but his true target was Adriel, since they had never gotten along in the past few weeks. He puts Nic and Marco up, and Sunny, Alice, and Newton are picked to play in the POV. Nic guns for the win and pulls it out, saving himself from going home. Shawn puts up Adriel in Nic's place. Adriel is not happy about this, and tries to vilify Shawn, but all it does is make him a bigger target. It is then revealed that one of Marco or Adriel will be saved by a public vote, and Marco receives an overwhelming majority, and Shawn, panicked, throws up Jane in Marco's place. Tania tries to vote off Jane, seeing Adriel as a bigger shield, while Boomberg, Albatross, and Blair follow suit. Rick and Nic put aside their differences, and Nic tells Rick that he is indeed a private eye, not an author like he said, and Rick starts to really distrust Nic. They still vote together, and they end up voting with the majority, and Adriel becomes the third person voted out in a 6-4 vote.
Week 4: After another close call with death, Nic guns for the HOH challenge, and he and Rick are the last two left in the challenge. Nic tries to promise to Rick that he's safe for the week, when all it does is cause Nic to get tired and drop out of the challenge, leaving Rick as the winner. Rick considers putting up Shawn and Nic, but ultimately decides to put up Boomberg and Nic instead. Marco, Sunny, and Tania are all selected to compete for the Power of Veto, and Sunny wins the POV. Not having any reason to use it, he discards the Veto. Fighting for his life, Nic campaigns to the whole house on vote off night, saying he's been loyal to each and every person in the game, and that he deserves to stay. He also tries to pin Boomberg as a coaster, saying she isn't doing much and coasters are dangerous. Ultimately, only Sunny, Newton, Alice, and Jane side with the detective to vote out Boomberg, and Nic becomes the fourth person voted out in a 5-4 vote. Soon, after Nic leaves the house, a double elimination is announced. Sunny wins the second HOH of the week, and, stressed out by the input others were giving him, puts Boomberg back on the block next to Tania. Blair, Jane, and Rick are selected to compete in the Veto, and Rick pulls out the W, and he keeps the nominations the same due to having similar goals to Sunny. Targeting Boomberg, he catches the ire of Shawn and Newton, who try to lead a rebellion against Sunny and Rick, as well as their allies Jane and Blair. They get the rest of the voters on board to get rid of Tania, and Tania becomes the fifth person voted out in a 5-3 vote, becoming the second person to win a challenge and be eliminated before jury.
Week 5: Jane wins the next HOH, and she nominates who she believes who were controlling the vote out of Tania, who were Albatross and Boomberg. Boomberg starts to get very paranoid after being nominated three cycles in a row, and the entire house sees her as a kook who could be dragged to the end. Newton, Marco, and Alice are selected to compete in the Veto, and Newton wins that Veto. Seeing both nominees as potentially threatening, he keeps the nominations the same. Once again, Rick and Sunny gun for voting off Boomberg, but Albatross is seen as the bigger threat by the majority, and Blair flips from her alliance, causing the majority to gain a number, and Albatross is eliminated in a 5-2 vote, one spot shy of the jury. The players to make jury are Alice, Sunny, Blair, Shawn, Marco, Newton, Rick, and Boomberg. It is then announced that an instant eviction will kick off the jury phase of the game. Newton wins the HOH, and nominates the people he trusts the least, Sunny and Blair. Rick sees Sunny as becoming a liability, so he leads the charge to get his former closest ally eliminated, and Sunny becomes the first juror in a 4-2 vote.
Week 6: Shawn wins the next HOH competition, and he kicks off the first week of jury by putting up two of his closest allies in Newton and Marco, with the intent of targeting Marco, who hadn't been pulling her weight in the alliance. Blair, Boomberg, and Jane compete in the POV, with Shawn ultimately winning. He keeps the nominations the same, since he's the HOH, and Shawn tries to spread the word to Rick to get Marco out, and he decides it's good for his game to do so, and he talks to Alice and Jane, and the three vote out Marco together, sending her out in a 3-2 vote, becoming the second juror.
Week 7: Feeling cocky, Rick tries to win another HOH competition, and is narrowly edged out by Newton. Newton, wanting Shawn to get karma, puts him up on the block against Blair. Everyone except Jane compete in the Power of Veto comp, and Rick wins the Veto. Trusting Shawn more than Blair, he saves Shawn, and Newton puts Alice up, due to her not doing much in the game. At first, Blair becomes a target for her physicality, but then Alice starts to worsen her position in the game by non stop campaigning for her to stay, causing Rick, Shawn, and Boomberg to flip on her, sending her to the jury in a 3-1 vote. The second double elimination of the season is announced, and everyone is caught off guard. Rick wins the HOH, and decides to do what Shawn did the last week, and puts up his two biggest allies, Shawn and Boomberg. Shawn then wins Veto, and obviously saves himself, leading to Rick deciding that Newton wouldn't make a bad secondary target, and he puts up Newton in Shawn's place. Shawn and Blair, despite being on different sides initially, both decide that Newton has become too big of a threat to take any further, and he is voted out 2-1.
Week 8: After another crazy week, Jane wins the HOH competition. She puts up Boomberg and Shawn for being players that just would not get voted out, and then the third-to-last Veto comp is played. Rick wins his fifth comp, solidifying his stature as the first comp beast of The Castle, and chooses to keep the nominations the same. Shawn then works on getting bonds with Blair and Rick to try and get rid of Boomberg. Luckily for him, Boomberg was quickly loosing her mind and making enemies with Rick and Blair, and Boomberg is eliminated by them to become the fifth juror... or so they thought. As it turns out, the first four jurors are given a second chance by a popular vote to return to the game. Sunny is voted back into the game, as the viewers felt he was a likable presence, was screwed over by an unprecedented twist, and had more to prove. The final four welcome him back to form the second final five.
Week 9: Rick sets another record by winning his sixth competition, and he puts up Blair as a pawn, and the newcomer Sunny, knowing that he's got the viewers in his back pocket. Rick then wins the POV, bringing up his wins to seven. He then tries to convince Sunny that Blair is going, but Sunny calls him out at the POV ceremony, causing Rick to change his mind about saving Sunny. Sunny then gets targeted by Jane and Shawn, and he is voted out unanimously.
Week 10: With the final four being the exact same as it was before Sunny came back, the people still in the game are Blair, Shawn, Jane, and Rick. Shawn wins the HOH, and he puts up the two biggest threats left, Rick and Jane. Shawn later on wins the final POV, and debates whether or not to use it. He ultimately decides to leave the nominations the same, and Blair has to cast the vote to evict. She hems and haws over her options, and chooses Rick as the bigger target, sending him out to become the eighth juror in a 1-0 vote.
Finale: Blair. Shawn. Jane. Three players who played very differently. Blair, who sat in the shadows making subtle moves. Shawn, who was more flashy. And Jane, who let others do the dirty work. All valid strategies that could win them the game. It is then announced that there will be a three part final HOH comp, and the winner of the first will advance to part three, and the other two will compete in part two to gain the other spot in part three. The winner of part three is the final HOH. Blair wins part one, Jane wins part two, and by this point Shawn knows he's dead meat. Blair wins the final part, and she ultimately decides to evict... Jane. Shawn is both relieved and shocked to know he made the final two as a fan of reality TV. The final two are then questioned about their gameplay. Both received flack, but for different reasons. Blair was seen as not doing much, while Shawn's style of gameplay was seen as over the top and more emotional than tactical. Shawn makes an impassioned speech, and it is able to win over most of the jury, and he becomes the first winner of The Castle in a 5-2 vote. Only Jane and Sunny voted for Blair. Alice wins the Fan Favorite for this season.
Winner: DeShawn "Shawn" Woods, u/asiansurvivorfan
Fan Favorite: Alice Rosaria, u/Gemini_B
The next season will feature 7 pairs of loved ones competing against each other for the half million dollars, and will use the BB6 sim, as it doesn't need to have a chance at my interference like this season did. It will be called The Castle: Blood Vs Water, and there's a possibility u/swoldow could go four for four with my BVW seasons, because he managed to win all three of them already.

2020.11.27 16:48 El_Chebu The day Amado Carrillo Fuentes stole 12 tons of cocaine from Pablo Escobar

The relationship between the two bosses began in 1988, when Escobar's cocaine shipments to the US were in everyone's sights, so he needed to establish new ways of moving the product.
The Mexican offered him a route to transport the drugs by sea, not to mention that he also made available the fleet of planes that made him famous.
"It was a route that was called La Fanny, for accounting reasons (that's how it was named by the head of finance for the Medellín group, Gustavo Gaviria, Escobar's first cousin and partner), and it was the one that kept Escobar afloat, because as a result of the war against the Colombian State, the Americans began to catch the planes from Escobar in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, throughout Central America." Popeye told the mexican magazine Proceso in 2013.
Amado Carrillo Fuentes was one of the pioneers in requiring colombian drug traffickers to pay him in cocaine, to give him access to the market in Chicago, Atlanta, Oklahoma and Seattle.
It was also the only one that was able to coordinate shipments of several tons on board 272 passenger jets, equiped for cargo transport. Many of their shipments flew directly to the Juarez airport, where they were guarded by the Mexican Federal Police, US officials said at the time.
Jhon Jairo Velasquez known as Popeye, told Escobar the story of the robbery.
Jhon Jairo Velasquez assured that all transactions were through him. He was the one who moved to Mexico to check shipments and maintain the relationship with Amado Carrillo Fuentes.
Which, according to him, was not easy because he always considered that mexican hitmen were more savage and bloodthirsty than colombians.
Those who have followed Carrillo's story assure that he was the first to establish formal alliances with the colombian cartels. The relationship with Escobar and his people was going well until in 1991 when they surrendered to the police to enter the "La Catedral", a prison that had been built by him.
"While we were in the Catedral, Amado Carrillo stole 12,000 kilos of cocaine from Escobar. He did this in alliance with the Cali Cartel, which was at war with us. That is where the partnership ended." Popeye recalled.
"The Boss was financially hit ($600 million - $800 million) and he wanted a war against Carrillo... it was complicated. We had war with the State, with the paramilitaries and with Cali". Facing the "Lord of the Skies" would have meant for Escobar to open a fourth front.
That was the beginning of the Mexican capo's consolidation until his death, in 1997, on an operating table during cosmetic surgery.
After the betrayal of Escobar, "El Señor de los Cielos" established an alliance that seemed solid with the Cali Cartel, but it did not end well either, after in 1993 the colombians attacked Carrillo and his family at the Bali Hai restaurant in Ciudad Juarez where three bodyguards and two diners died.
Escobar could not carry out his revenge against the mexican kingpin
Amado's feat was better known in Tijuana, Baja California than in Chihuahua, the state from where his cartel operated.
Tijuana was one of the cities in which Popeye and Amado Carrillo Fuentes set the conditions on the transfer of merchandise from South America to Mexico and before the division of territories by the mexican drug boss Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo, it was a place where Carrillo Fuentes operated calmly and quietly.
His audacity was due to the fact that he became famous for the aerial transportation of drugs that gave him the opportunity to move wherever he wanted and he became the boss of one of the most important cities on the border, the fact that he has also corrupted very high-level people, like the Drug Czar of Mexico, who was arrested for protecting him. That kind of thing gave him the confidence and security to do things like steal drugs from Pablo Escobar.
Sorry for posting this now. Was supposed to post it a week and a half ago, but yeah laziness

2020.11.27 00:45 1Fully1 Begging to get out of bed

My sister and I are taking care of my 77 year old mother on hospice. This is our second time because we helped my mom take care of our dad when he passed away from cancer. Our mom has congestive heart failure, afib, COPD and a blocked carotid artery. On October 15 she fell in a condo in Florida where she went with my sister on vacation. She had a COPD exacerbation that required her to be put on a ventilator for six days. When she was extubated, she improved for a couple of days, but then blood pressure and heart rate wouldn’t stabilize. They finally decided to send her to a trauma hospital in Panama City where we found out that she had a slow internal bleed that had been going on since her fall. Once they got that sorted out and she was discharged, we had to put her in a medical transport for 8 hours to get her back home. We put her in a rehab facility for about a week, then they sent her to the hospital for a uti and sepsis. Once she was dismissed, my sister and I were going to send her back to rehab to see if she could regain any of her strength, but she decided that she wanted to go home. My mother has gone from a person who was self sufficient, lived alone, drove to dead weight. She can’t walk, she can’t sit up by herself, she is on a catheter, and she can barely feed herself. She has started begging us to get her out of the hospital bed we have her in. I’ve been by myself most of the day today while my sister goes to her daughter’s house for the holiday. I’ve had to give her a lorazepam and then five hours later a half of one because she keeps working herself up into misery because she wants out of the bed. She’s asked me to let her roll onto the floor. When I tell her I’m not strong enough to help her into a chair she tells me it will be ok if I let her fall. I know she’s having anxiety, but is there anything I can do besides drugging her to help her understand that she isn’t able to get out of the bed? My husband was here for awhile at lunch and we tried to move her into a recliner for awhile, but she is dead weight and we just can’t do it. I already have a ruptured disc in my back. I am in a lot of pain from trying that. Any advice is appreciated.
I’ll be honest, I still wonder if she would improve if we sent her to rehab, but I don’t think her heart and lungs could take it.

2020.11.26 05:46 maxcoiner Auction for MS Satoshi Cruise Ship cabins concludes on Saturday (28th) Got yours yet?

In case you weren't aware, a real Bitcoin community is moving into the first Citadel, named Satoshi, in January. It's a full-sized Carnival Cruise ship which is being anchored just south of Panama city, Panama. https://oceanbuilders.com/cruiseship/
The auction for 100 of the cabins started on Nov 4th, and it runs through this Saturday. Rooms start at $25,000 and move-in starts in January. Although not many bids have been made yet, I think many are waiting to snipe what's left near auction close. You can bid on them here:
https://oceanbuilders.com/auction-page/
Here's a video fly-by they made of the ship this week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfXjeJaLuFw

2020.11.25 19:13 Angryredfishy I still live in my hometown, mainly because our entire lives are here and I HATE it.

I live in Panama City, Fl. It’s a pretty small town where everyone knows everyone to some degree and I hate it. I want to live in a college town where I can be a no one and just permanently get away from having a ton of people smothering me and m owing every aspect of my life. No secrets are safe here. You tell one person, a ton of other people magically find out. I want to blend in and not stand out. I want to go somewhere where no one knows me or my past or my secrets. Not that I have anything bad to hide, I just really want a fresh start and to get away from it all. I am still in school, I’m a sophomore in high school and it’s impossible to jus blend in because people always have something to say about everyone including me. Everyone is known for something I feel like. I’m not sure what Im convinced I’m known for but I literally just want to be a no one. I want to be left alone. I don’t want to deal with difficult people if I don’t absolutely have to. I just want to be another brick in the wall, but you can’t do that here. I hate it so much. I recently went to Gainesville, Fl and it’s a huge town where I can just blend in. I’m a no one there and I love it. I have gone there a lot since I was very young, so it feels like home to me. I really want to live there. It’s perfect. I get so overwhelmed by people and I hate it. I just want to start over and get away from here.

2020.11.25 02:35 hibiscushumbird experiences with auto transport companies

We will be traveling from Massachusetts to Panama City Beach in our 23' motor home for a 3 month stay. We are considering having our 2020 Tacoma Truck transported down. It's expensive but much cheaper than car rental.
(I know, why not tow it. But husband does not want to do this so I am looking for another way. I also thought of buying some walkie talkies to converse between the two vehicles while separately driving down. Would really feel more comfortable if we were together)

Any info good or bad would be appreciated. thanks!

2020.11.24 22:12 divinessmileuponyou AITA for posting a legitimate ad for a rental property on Facebook Marketplace to help my mom?

To make a long story short: my mom rented a property for February-March for a neighborhood in Bonita Springs called Bonita Bay. It’s a really nice area with a buttload of amenities and it’s fully renovated, so the listing price is $6,500/month (while expensive, it’s a very competitive and fair pricing for the neighborhood and timeframe).
I posted it on Facebook Marketplace because my mom has been completely panicked trying to find a sublease and I thought I would try to help her. I posted in a few groups and while people responded positively, a lot of people also responded very negatively and aggressively. In particular, a woman began to report me over and over and kept commenting about how she did the math/I’m overcharging for the property by -5k (I did not set the price, the company did but it’s still fair pricing for Bonita Bay, the neighborhood). She kept posting “better listings” and where she was getting her prices from, and it was from Panama City, FL. I tried to politely explain that’s 7.5 hours away from Bonita Springs/this listing, but I guess all the reports caught up to me and I have been banned.
Now I’m really worried, especially because I was banned, that I might be the asshole. I genuinely was just trying to find a sublease for my mom, and while I would understand if the comments were upset about traveling during a global pandemic, none of them even mentioned COVID. Most were just berating me for the price. So AITA?
Thank you for all judgements!
Edit: I discussed with my mom before posting! She had posted a weird collage she made on her Instagram and I was like mom LOL that’s not going to work. I explained Facebook Marketplace to her and she approved!
